Sea Pact, an innovative alliance of seafood industry leaders, today announces the opening of their sixth Request for Grant Proposals.
Sea Pact is a group of leading North American seafood companies dedicated to driving stewardship and continuous improvement of social, economic, and environmental responsibility throughout the global seafood supply chain.

They are achieving this in part by using their collective strength and industry expertise in an effective model of pre-competitive collaboration. Together, they are working together to advance sustainable and responsible fishery and aquaculture practices and provide the building blocks of a long term and productive seafood industry via financial and thought partner contributions to projects that improve fishing and farming systems globally.

Through this RFP, Sea Pact aims to select projects in line with their goals – with twelve specific project categories outlined such as Fishery and Aquaculture Improvement Projects, Habitat restoration, Management, Research as well as other relevant projects are encouraged to apply.
Sea Pact will continue to focus on innovative projects related to fisheries by catch reduction, traceability, aquaculture, and social responsibility within the seafood supply chain. Projects impacting the top seafood species consumed on a global level are also prioritized.

Responses are due by September 15, 2017. Sea Pact will announce the grant recipients in late 2017.
